Voigtlander APO-Lanthar 2,0/28 mm VM Aspherical Black

The new Voigtländer 28mm APO-LANTHAR VM mount is Voigtländer’s best performing VM 28mm wide angle lens ever, continuing the high performance standard of the VM 50mm f2 APO-LANTHAR, VM 35mm f2 APO-LANHTAR and VM 50mm f3.5 APO-LANTHAR lenses. The lens design includes apochromatic colour correction, floating lens elements for better close focusing performance, two double sided aspherical elements, five abnormal partial dispersion elements and superior multi-coating for outstanding flare control.
Optical performance is quite simply extraordinary!

With a physical length of 50.0mm from the mount surface, the lens is even shorter than the previously released APO-LANTHAR 35 mm F2 Aspherical VM semi-wide-angle lens, The 12 aperture blades are close to circular and render bokeh from point light sources in a straightforward manner. The high-precision rangefinder-linked mechanism and the silky feel of the all-metal helicoid ring allow the photographer to experience the real pleasure of focusing using a traditional optical rangefinder.

The minimum focusing distance linked to the rangefinder is 0.7m (depending on the camera attached), from which the helicoid can be extended to 0.5m. Floating lens elements ensure high performance even when shooting at close range.

The included metal bayonet hood is specially designed and features a petal-design for both light shielding and bright-frame vignetting. It can also be mounted in reverse.
