The d:vote 4099U Universal Clip Microphone from DPA Microphones is designed to be used with slim bodied or unusual-shaped instruments. It includes a hook and loop fastener strap that can attach the mic to the circumference of difficult to mic instruments such as oboes, clarinets, bassoons, recorders, and flutes. The clip can also be rotated 90-degrees, doubling the amount of mounting positions available.

The microphone has a compact, 1.8-inch length body and comes with a 5.5-inch gooseneck for flexibility in positioning. It has a detachable cable that terminates in a Microdot connector, providing compatibility with DPA's connection adapters for use with a variety of third party wireless systems. An XLR adapter is included for use with a wired system with 48-volt phantom power.
