The 1TB Rugged BOSS USB 3.1 Type-C External SSD from LaCie is a battery-operated device that lets you copy, review, and manage footage from virtually anywhere, without the need for a laptop or desktop system. Content can be copied on to the Rugged BOSS using its USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port or integrated SD card slot at speeds up to 430 MB/s, while files can be reviewed and both data transfers and battery life can be monitored using the integrated status screen. Content may also be reviewed, named, and deleted using the LaCie BOSS app for iOS and Android. If one of your devices needs charging, the Rugged BOSS can be used as a mobile battery pack, and thanks to built-in drop, splash, and dust resistance, it is well-equipped to handle life outdoors.

LaCie's Rugged BOSS is compatible with systems running Windows 10 or later, as well as macOS 10.12 or later with an available Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 Type-C, USB 3.0, or USB 2.0 port. It comes equipped with a USB 3.1 Type-C port, which is also known as USB 3.1 Gen 2 or USB 3.2 Gen 2, and included is a USB 3.1 Type-C cable, a Lightning cable for iOS devices, a USB Type-C cable for iOS and Android devices, a micro-USB cable for Android devices, a power adapter, a removable cover, and micro SD to SD card adapter. Additional protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty with Rescue Data Recovery Services plan.
